So a little bit more about myself...

My name is Maddie, I'm known as Maddie Parker but in fact my name is Maddie Parker-Colman. Having a double barrel last name can be a bit of a mouthful so I thought I'd keep it simple. I'm 24 years old and adore photography. Since I was young I've always loved photography and I never really thought I'd go into it as a career however as years past and the time came for me to start thinking about my future I decided why not give it a go.
For two years I studied photography at a-level (along side fine art, business and media studies) and am pleased to say, I successfully passed in all these subjects. Whilst studying my a-levels I also took it upon myself to take part in a separate, additional 6 week intense photography course at a second collage, to improve my knowledge further.
I don't have years of photography behind me like most photographers but we've all got to start somewhere.

When I was 18 I decided to take on my own studio in Swaffham and though I was looked at like I was mad, I've never looked back since! I love it! I’ve proudly had thousands of clients through the door over the last 6+ years and have captured a whopping 120+ weddings and counting. From newborns to families, pets to boudoir, weddings to cakesmashes - every day is different and that’s one of the most exciting things.

In 2019 I was nominated for Wedding Photographer of the Year at the English Wedding Awards. I was ecstatic to go, I’d never been to a ball with the chance to get all dressed up before or be in with a chance of winning an award for my photography too. I am so thrilled to say that I not only won ‘Wedding Photographer of the year East’ for out region but also overall ‘Wedding Photographer of the year 2019’.

I cannot begin to put into words how proud I am of these two awards and how grateful I am to have my work recognized nationally.

I would say I have a very relaxed, friendly approach. I'm open to new ideas and willing to offer suggestions if unsure. I'm a very laid back, open minded, easy going person, never one to pressure anyone in front of a camera. I'm not a photographer that'll give you the sales pitch you all dread, there's never any pressure for purchasing any extras.
